    Possible 4K fix


    Anyone with a 4k UHD Vizio tv having trouble setting up your 4K, press the menue button on Your vizio remote, go down to devices and select the HDMI port you are using and turn Full UHD Color to on! Hope that helps.

    Will the Xbox One reach that 4K resolution?

    I think it's possible but it's still too early to say anyways. I don't know whether it will be possible in any way in this year.

    4k player fix yet?

    ok im having the usual issue with dim picture playihng 4k movies, games are great, just movies dim, its not the tv setting tried that to death. not the xbox settings tried that to death, getting frustrated here, i purchased the onex mainly for the 4k, i
    already had an xbox one for game. so now it sits mostly unused because im to annoyed with it. to even play my games. it seems microsoft dont care, they already got the money, any suggestions?

    I really appreciate your post on this issue. The 4k issues I am experiencing could possibly be tested with a 4k UHD Blu-Ray. Huntsman: Winter's War is one of the few UHD Blu-Ray's available I haven't seen and had been considering picking up that movie
    to try and kick my console into finally displaying something in 4k. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon!

    4K and 5.1, is it possible?

    Well, guess there's no avoiding it. I was hoping there was a solution that wouldn't break the bank, but i guess not. Also, yes my setup right now has my optical cable connected from XOX to my reciever, but, when i'm on my XOX and go to "Display & sound",
    I can put both the HDMI audio and Optical audio on "Bitstream out", but doing that keeps me from picking 5.1. That's why i thought the second method i used would work. It did but didn't. 😒

    The receiver seems to be your problem. It has an outdated HDMI port.

    Going off of your
    Yamaha AV's online manual     (p78), it seems that your receiver only supports HDMI 1.4 (which drives up to 4K/30Hz). In order for the Xbox One X to display 4K resolution, it must be plugged into a device with at least HDMI 2.0 on it, as that
    has the HDMI port capable of 4K/60Hz. This is why when you plug it into your receiver, you can only get up to 1080p.

    Unless if your 5.1 speaker setup is able to connect directly to the Xbox through optical, looks as though your only solution to achieve 4K w/ 5.1 Surround is to get a new AV receiver. Specifically, look for a unit that supports HDMI 2.0 or greater.

    I tried the console with another TV (not 4K) and did not give me this problem. Is it possible for the TV to turn it off? I tried various settings on the TV but I can not fix the TV is a Samsung UE49MU6100K

    4K Blurays stopped working on Xbox Series X, how can I fix it?

    Thank you for the fast answer, I tried it, I cleared the cache and i reseted the console but the problem is still the same. The Xbox doesn't read the 4K Blurays. Is it possible to fix the problem my self or does the console need repairing?
