Possibility of the original Zoo Tycoon games getting any sort of digital re-release?

So even though this possibly isn't the place for it, I want to give it a shot here anyways. Plain and simple, why is it that the most recent Zoo Tycoon game, the one that is disliked among the community, is the one to see a digital PC release on Steam, but not the first two award-winning titles? Both games still have incredibly active communities that are dwindling due to a complete lack of acknowledgement from MS/Xbox, yet MS is working with the board-game company Treecera to create a board game inspired by the first title? I honestly would just love to see some sort of official response as to *why* the games haven't been brought to Steam unlike other classic PC games like RCT1/2, the original Elder Scrolls games, and even Age of Empires. They wouldn't have to add new content, or even new features, as both games pretty much had built in modding tools for them and run fairly well on modern systems with minimal changes (maybe adjustments for larger displays and at the very most even Steam Workshop support for mods).
Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2 are gaming classics, and they helped shape the lives of thousands, if not millions of people in the early 2000s. To see a franchise so beloved by many be so readily ignored by its publisher is painful to see, and I would love to at least know why the game has yet to see the light of day.

Also, for anyone wondering, it supports 4 players, meaning while you are away, your zoo is stored in the cloud, and up to 3 people at any time can come into your zoo and help you manage/build it

I wonder if Zoo Tycoon is a retail release or an Arcade. Man I'd love if someone redid Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis on the new gen like Zoo Tycoon. If ZT is an Arcade game I may get it at some point, that kinda thing is usually fun

BF4 and Power Bowling for me on release... along with Zoo tycoon... (recording game clips of me removing the gate for the lions while the zoo is packed... EPIC)

Since I am going all digital... Ill just wait till I get the XB1 hooked up.... and check out the games then... but those 3 up there are def purchases

I love it. My 1st Xbox One games will be Zoo Tycoon, Minecraft, Forza 5 (pre-ordered disc from EB Games), Need For Speed Rivals (pre-ordered disc from EB Games). Will also get Final Fantasy XV when it releases next year.

I will get MC digitally. But does anyone know the game size for Zoo Tycoon?? Want to get that digitally too saves changing discs on my console, but if it's more than 12GB, might get the disc version. Haven't pre-ordered Zoo/MC yet because I want to know
the download size for those games. Zoo Tycoon looks like a lot of fun

I'm also going to be open to some more friends especially with next gen and the games I mentioned which I will be getting first. Must be nice, and preferably live in NZ/Australia (time reasons). Will keep playn 360 too and have about ninety something friends
