Hey all. I currently have a XSX and a Samsung q900t 9.1.2 setup all hooked up with my tv with Earc and Hdmi 2.1 cables. It works great most of the time but i get popping and crackling sounds over my soundbar when using uncompressed 7.1 while watching vidz on Microsoft Edge. Is that normal? I don’t have the issue while playing games. Also does the XSX still struggle with Dolby Atmos or has it been patched? Thanks in advance .

    :)

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.

I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today VaporousArc3

As Lucas said, there are some players experiencing issues with Atmos.

Probably the Dolby access app not support correctly the latest Xbox system update, so I can advise you to give Dolby team this feedback to see if soon they release a new Atmos update.

If you're experiencing issues with 7.1, the best way to proceed is share this feedback officially with Xbox team:

Hopefully they are going to fix it in the next monthly update (July)

    Greetings from another Microsoft user!

There was a big thread here on the community about this issue with Atmos. Some users got it solved by changing the audio settings to 5.1 or stereo PCM.

Hello, VaporousArc3. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

You should not have this issue. Does this issue happens only when watching videos on Microsoft Edge? No other time?

Some users reported audio delay when using Dolby Atmos. But it has been some time that I don't see anything else about it here on the forum.

Depending on the tickets they receive, they can reply you soon or not.

The important thing is let them know this (and also to Dolby).

Next Xbox system update, according to previous updates. Is launched on the first Wednesday of each month.

So, probably you're going to receive a system update on July 6
