Poor Resolution on one game only

I have been playing the same game (Midnight Suns) and the resolution was great what one would expect. Suddenly though the resolution went very bright and everything is blurry. When I hit the menu button everything goes clear, first screen when starting the game is clear. Once the publisher and developer rolls though it goes blurry and stays that way. Other games and the Home screen all look clear. It is only the one game having the issue.

Make sure that you have the latest system update for your console. You can check for updates by going to "Settings" and then "System" and selecting "Updates".

Check to see if there are any updates available for the game you are playing. You can check for updates by going to "My games & apps" and then selecting "Updates".

Make sure that your TV or monitor is set to the correct resolution.

Try clearing your console cache. To do this, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, go to "System" and then select "Console info". Select "Reset console" and then choose "Reset and remove everything".

If you are using a wired connection, try using a wireless connection or vice versa.

If you are using a wireless connection, try moving your console closer to your router to improve the connection.

Hey there severinolfred!

Thanks for all that information you've given us! That definitely helps us get a better picture of what's going on.

Since you've tried the console on multiple monitors/TVs with multiple cables and they all look the same while your friend's console looks fine. I'm starting to think that something may be wrong with the video card in your console.

However, before we settle on that conclusion, I suggest taking a look at our

Xbox 360 images on your TV are unclear support article and try out the tips there (like resetting your display settings).

(Finally got my real account working, writing from that from now on)

Well .... I isolated it to be the GPU in my xbox... therefore I bought a new one, problem solved.

I hope this thread can be helpful for other people, because it seems that some others have had this GPU-failure aswell, where the only symptom is the xbox not wanting to output HD no matter which connection type, monitor or yea.. no matter everything.
