Plugged Xbox One headset in the Universal Audio Jack on the front of my PC and it doesn't show ...

Does a different set of headphones work in the same PC jack? It is possible that the jack has an issue, and will not support any headsets.

1. What is the make and model of the PC?
   
2. Did you make any changes to the PC prior to this issue?
   
3. Is the issue specific to Xbox One headset?
   

However, let us follow these steps to check if that makes any difference.

Step 1: Run the hardware & devices troubleshooter.

Follow these steps:

1. Type “Troubleshooting” in the Search bar and press Enter.
   
2. Click on “View All” in the top left corner.
   

This will display the list of built-in troubleshooters in the computer. Click on Hardware and Devices from the list and run the tool. Once that is done, remember to restart the PC.

To isolate the issue, plug in a different head set directly to the PC to check the status. You may also plug in this head set to another PC to check the status.

Step 2: Further, you may also want to
update the drivers from Device Manager on the PC to check if that makes any difference.

Standard PC headsets use twin three section jack plugs (green for audio, pink for mic), Xbox One headsets use a different configuration and use a four section jack plug going directly into the controller .

The headset works fine in other devices and when plugged into the front audio port on my pc. The static only occurs when it is plugged into my xbox one controller, and the controller port worked fine until I updated drivers.
