Please reconnect your controller - Xbox one

My Xbox One console disconnects at least once a minute and indicates, "Please reconnect your controller". The large X button blinks white. The controller will then reconnect on its own after about 30 seconds but will disconnect again shortly thereafter.
This malfunction occurs with all wireless controllers and brand new batteries. I tried the soft reset as per one of the other closed threads but it is still occurring. Thanks.

Hi Knot,

Thanks for keeping us updated. Make sure the console is plugged directly into a wall outlet. Plugging into an ext. cord or surge protector can cause a lot of different issues if the console is not getting the power it needs.

Thank you. It is connected directly to the wall outlet and is still experiencing the malfunction.

Hey had a similar problem. Found out it was wireless interference. My daughter has an xbox upstairs in her room when its on it can screw with my controller connection. Figured this out after trying everthing else. Different devices could cause this same
issue. Hope this helped.

I had this issue for quite a while. I updated the firmware of the controller through the console settings and did a hard reset and it fixed the problem for me
