Please Help - Youtube App Issues on Xbox One

Hello,

over the last 6 months or so my Youtube app on xbox one has been intermittently refusing to load some videos and just sits at the wheel spinning endlessly. Now it seems to allow the very odd video to play usually i have to access videos via the "show more"
option for it to work.

Whats weirder yet is the adverts all play instantly in HD quality as i would expect with my 7mbps connection which at the time is solely being used for my xbox one connection with nothing else connected via wireless or ethernet but the videos themselves
just spin s mentioned before.

Other video streaming apps like BBC I player work fine.

Historically it has resolved itself over a week or so but now it's showing no signs of improvement.

I have not missed any updates to either the app or the Operating system itself.

So far I have tried.

Playing the videos via the smartglass interface.

Manually turned the xbox one off do to a hard reset.

Cleared the cookies, cache and history

uninstalled and reinstalled the app

tried via ethernet to make sure it wasn't any wireless throughput issues but theres was no improvement.

Changed my wireless channel to make sure there was no congestion.

Youtube plays fine in HD quality on my laptop

I have tried playing videos both signed in and out of my youtube account.

I can not manually lower the resolution but youtube should revert the resolution if I have any unforseen sync speed or bandwidth issues.

This happens at all times of the day so it is unlikely to be a network congestion issue.

So the issues is device specific to the xbx one and app specific to the youtube app

Any and all assistance would be most grateful.

Youtube Crashing

Having same problems every time I run youtube app xbox one will reset just as youtube wants to come on ,,this is the second day please help xbox

 

YouTube on Xbox One keeps crashing

Yesterday the YouTube App on my Xbox One began saying that YouTube was unavailable and to try again later every time I opened the app. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it and now every time I try to open the app it crashes my Xbox and I have to turn
it back on again. Looking for a solution here please help.

 

I'm having a similar problem: ALL videos are being played in low quality, even though I have a 10mbps internet conection. The most bizarre thing is that the advertisements before de videos all load in HD...
