Please help this rubbish tech parent! Microsoft log in for Minecraft not recognised by Mojang

Hey there in order to change your name you have to do it from the Microsoft profile account as the mojang website is for changing your java username goto https://account.microsoft.com/account to change it

There are several versions of Minecraft and the one your son uses is called the 'Bedrock' version. The tutorial you are trying to follow is for the 'Java' version and it is not the same.

• On the iPad, load Minecraft and click the setting button.
• Under settings, click on 'Profile' button on the left.
• In the user and profile setting page, you should see an option 'Change Gamertag'.
• This should take you to the website:

Just note that this can only be done once. So make sure it's exactly how you want it. Any other changes will have a charge.

Have done the above but ps4 with a different account but Minecraft is not recognising the microsoft account when trying to log in.

Is there a way to reset this remote access to the original account used when setting up Minecraft please?

We are playing Minecraft for Nintendo Switch. Two of our profiles on the game is giving us an error -9. There is something wrong with the Marketplace that won't let us log in to the Microsoft Account. I try to log in manually and then it closes the program
