Please help! My dad has XBox Live and I play on the same console but I can’t play!

Hey. My dad bought Xbox live on his account and I tried to play on the same console but on my account and it said I need to get Xbox live. I thought that you can share your Xbox Live membership with other accounts on the same console? Thanks

Hello, my brother and I play offline with one xbox360 console and 2 remotes in same game with 2-player mode. Our dad purchased one xbox 360 gold live account which we play by taking turns. Our dad wants to know if by buying a second xbox360 gold live account
we can both play at the same time using the same xbox360 console on two seperate xbox gold live accounts on two remotes in same game. Can someone please confirm if this is possible or do we have to buy a second xbox 360 console?

I have the same problem just with a code for 12 month xbox live gold on my dad's and I need help, please. I feel ya man.

It's great to have family that plays games. I live 5 states away from my dad and we play almost everyday. I play with my sister and step-dad i live with as well but not quite as much. I really appreciate the connectivity Xbox brings.

I have set up the 2 x xboxes as described as above but still cant play on both consoles at the same time? Account A (Dad) is set as home xbox on console B but account A cant play on Console A when Account B is playing on Console B? Can you please assist further. Thanks!
