Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. In order to change the email to your Microsoft account, you would first have to add an alias (Email). After adding the new alias, you can make it the primary email. Once you have the new primary email, you can
remove the old one from your account.

Please note that this new alias (email) you add can not be attached to another Microsoft account as an alias. You can get step by step instructions on this link here :

Actually, that can only be possible if you still have access to the primary email because it will need to be verified first before you can change the alias. So if you still have access to the primary email, you can always change that to a different alias but if not, you cannot change that anymore and rely on your security proofs for recovery access.

I appreciate the help guys - this isn't some normal problem, as i've been repeatedly told by customer services lol.

Patrat: I haven't got an alias, and yes the email is the same on that screen as that which appeared on my mate's console.
