Please help getting a service message and can’t play most apps and movies I live in the U.K

Hi please can anyone help I’ve just bought some movies but when I try to play them I get a message saying apologies, our service isn’t working properly at the moment. To check Xbox Live service status, go to support.xbox.com. That’s also happening when
I try most apps I.e mixer, YouTube and more please help. i’m on Virgin media my broadband speed is 200mbps and have used both hard wired and wireless and i live in the uk.

When that alert pops up it mean that the issue is on Xbox's side and not your.

The only thing you can do in that situation is to wait for a fix.

have you tried to do a power cycle of the console ?

Not sure if it's the same where you live but here in the U.K. most game shops offer a cheap disc repair service if it is only that one disc that doesn't work & cleaning it doesn't help.
