Please help correct this mistake....

I have spent over 4 hours trying to get resolution on this issue and have been met with nothing but no answers, hostility, and disservice.

I received an email on 11/11 that contained a link to a free game download as a welcome to the Xbox One family. The exact same email and link was sent to friends at the end of October they receive their free game with no issues. When I went to download
it it said the page should been moved. When I contacted @Xboxliverewards on Twitter I was told the promotion had expired and that was the end of it.

If I was sent an expired promotion I feel that it is the very basics of good customer service to honor that promotion. Everyone that I've tried to speak to on the phone cannot help because it's a different division of Xbox. I just spoke to a supervisor
at Xbox support who stated since there is nothing else he could do he was going to disconnect my phone call. He didn't even make an attempt to get a hold of anybody to try and talk through creative solutions nothing. This is been the worst experience I have
ever had, Please help make this right.

I understand that there is a mistake and that an old promotion was sent but that should be up to you to make it right, please take care of your customer rather than just tell them too bad, nothing we can do.

It sounds like you have partitioned your HDD and basically turned it into a 16 GB flash-drive.

Unfortunately as far as I know there is no way to reverse this.

I just bought a 60gb hard drive now and Im using my failed hard drive for my pc now so its all good! Thanks for everyones help

 

Sorry to hear it. You say it was a promotion from Xbox Rewards. What you should do is post in the Rewards forums to see what they have to say about it there.

Be sure to include all the facts for them and the date that the message was received. Perhaps you'll have a little better luck over there.

Ok, you had mentioned Rewards in your original post so I thought it was a Rewards issue. What exactly was the game that they offered you? Did it include a code? If so there should be an option to Redeem Code with the message.

 

The link in the email says "Get a Game" everyone who I've talked to that clicked this link was taken to a download code for Ryse Son of Rome. It took me to an "oops we've moved this page" landing.

 

I sent a message to one of the support staff about this. Hopefully they'll be in here or send you a pm shortly to sort this out for you.

Ok, I've received confirmation that the offer was never sent by email. Can you please post a screen shot of this message?

 

It has already been confirmed by multiple sources that the email was in fact sent and that the link titled "Start Playing Get A Game" did in fact at an earlier time contain a link to a 25 digit download code.

The problem here is that at the time the email was sent the promotion was apparently discontinued, a complete disservice to me as a loyal member of the Xbox Community (10 Years) I am asking that somebody do a bit of good customer service and correct this
issue. The Xbox Live Rewards Twitter administrator does not feel it necessary to correct the mistake, in fact they chose to toss me aside completely which is ridiculous.

If you feel it necessary to verify yet again that I am not lying to you and just making something up I am more than happy to give you my friend's gamer tag to an actual Microsoft employee so that they can go
confirm that he received the same email the week before I did and downloaded Ryse complimentary.

 

I cannot upload the screenshot, the web form produces an upload error in both IE11 and Chrome.

 

What you'll need to do is open the email on and press the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Then open a program such as Paint (standard program usually found by looking in the Accessories section of the Start menu. Then past it and save it as a jpeg
file. Post it to an online service such as Photobucket where it can easily be seen and then post the link to the pic on the forums.

I'm not sure who verified the email to you but I was informed by a support agent from the forums here that those messages did not come via email. This is why we need to see a screen shot of the message so we can confirm it.
