Please help!! Advanced warfare won't connect to xbox live!

I've re-installed my disc copy over 5 times now, I've tried doing it offline then doing the update separate but whenever I try to play online multiplayer it just says 'the advanced warfare servers are unavailable'

i went to the midnight release for this game and was really excited for a call of duty game for the first time, and now I just feel robbed and upset with this broken game:'(

I am unable to download advanced warfare onto my xbox I purchased it through the online store and it will read "can't download call of duty: advanced warfar" or it will disconnect me from xbox live I hav a 500gb Xbox so space isn't the problem help please

 

COD Advanced Warfare will not load on XBox Live

Purchased COD Advanced Warfare today. After logging in to XBox Live and accessing Advanced Warfare it says "READING SAVE DEVICE" and freezes. I am not able to play the game on XBox Live......help.

 

Add me to the list. Clean install and the game attempts to connect to Xbox live but fails with the message above?

 

This is also happening to me, i have done the same installed it and re installed it offline then done the update. I then phoned the xbox support and they told me to try everything i've already done it happened with my COD ghost as well. Could it be that
the internet provider is blocking somethng ?

Im just glad im not the only one with this problem.

I'm trying again today, apparently it might just be that I have terrible internet with a crappy provider, so I may just have to upgrade to a better provider this week, kind of a lot of hassle but it had to be done at some point.

If this is not the case then I'm just getting my money back

 

If you can let me know if this works then it would help, im going to take mine to a friends house with a different provider to me to see if it then works. What ever the outcome i shall be sure to let you know.

 

Solution for me at least so far.

It is related to your router. I don't carry how many games you have played successfully on Xbox live. When I disabled my router firewall everything was fine and I connected to Xbox Live multiplayer. I was not comfortable with the solution however as it disabled
my firewall on the entire network.

After enjoying some online play I have attempted the following long-term solution. On my router I set up port triggering for port 3074. I read and abled my firewall on the router and I am playing online just fine.

I have a new router in my house since the last time I changed any of my router settings. If I am not mistaken port 3074 has Historically been tied to Xbox products.

I will continue to monitor my network including wireless connections to phones, tablets, Xboxs, Xbox ones until I am sure everything is working as designed but right now I am hoping my problem is solved.

By the way I am not a computer genius so please don't ask me how this applies to you.

 

I tried it at a friends house and worked fine so like the suggested answer i would say there is something wrong with the router that is blocking some thing so i will have to give that a try other wise i will have to get a new router.

 

I will try the thing with my router if anyone has another solution please post

 

I did this last night and it seemed to work so far ive not been on it since but it seems like a good way to resolve the problem if you cant do that then it would be the router that needs to be replaced.

 

my advanced warfare is being stupid my brother can sign in and play but when i go to mine it says that connection to xbox live has been lost plz sign in again or test connection.....WHAT DO I DO GUYS HELP!!!!!!!

 

guys i figured it out if you have my problem you delete your guy and down load him i just did i i can play yeahhh

 

I was having the exact same problem guys but I got it fixed. COD Advanced Warfare requires you to forward port 3074 in order for online multiplayer to work. Click this link and it will give you step by step instructions on how to forward that port. Good
