please give an opinion on what you think is wrong

A couple of days ago I was using my xbox like always. The game I was playing froze so I decided to restart my xbox. I clicked on the restart button twice and my xbox was not restarting, so i unplugged the power supply. I plugged it back in and the xbox
seemed as it was going to bootup but after a minute it shut off. I tried a couple more times but everytime i would try it would stay on for a 1 minute or so not showing the bootup screen and then turning its self off. After trying to factory reset the console
and the power supply I contacted microsoft support. After talking to a microsoft expert they concluded that I needed a new power supply. I accepted this answer and order a new power supply and it arrives in 2 days. Once the new power supply arrives I try to
turn on my Xbox and then the same problem happens. Power supply and Xbox are on and running but display will not show up and then the xbox will turn it’s self off. I need opinions on what I should do or what you think is wrong with my console.
If you want a video of the problem or picture I will send it just ask.

Could be overheating because of poor placement? Or maybe the inside needs cleaning.

What color is the light on the power supply?

How long does the console stay on before turning itself off?

In regards to the display not showing up, have you double checked to make sure the HDMI cable to make sure it's plugged into the HDMI out?

It most likely needs to be repaired. However, you have the original One so it definitely will cost quite a bit to get it repaired. You might want to compare the cost of getting it repaired and a new S model. They are fairly cheap nowadays. I think an out
of warranty repair is over 100 dollars and I've seen new S consoles for a little over 200.

That's what I would do.

Could also be that the HDMI cord has gone bad, try a different one.

You should also try to do a Emergency Offline Update and see if console stays on during that, also make sure no other device is plugged into USB port, and that there is no disc in console, here is link for offline update https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution
