    You broke the drivers over a year ago by switching the Bluetooth operating mode over to Bluetooth LE and still haven't fixed them. Please fix this. I shouldn't have to dig around the internet to make sure updating official firmware for my $250 controller won't turn it into just being a heavier normal controller.

    Supposedly this is solved in Windows 11, but I should not have to upgrade my operating system or pay for your proprietary dongle after already spending $250 to use a "premium" product that has worked for over two years because you refuse to fix a minor inconvenience in supporting the new device ID properly on an operating system that doesn't reach end of life for another 3 years. This is just absurd.

    Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 - A button opens Xbox Game Bar

    Hi Kathy,

    I am having the same issue. I recently got a second Elite Series 2 Controller that came with firmware 4.7.1872.0 and when looking into the Windows Game Controller Settings, and pressing A or B, each button sends another keypress. Just like for others, under normal circumstances this opens Game Bar or takes screenshots for me.

    I have another Elite Series 2 Controller that I bought in February, which also shipped with 4.7.1872.0 back then. However, I was able to update it to 4.8.1908.0 in February with an older version of Xbox Accessories App on Windows 10, which fixed the button issues with Bluetooth connections.

    With the latest version of Xbox Accessories there is no such update option available and my second controller is now stuck in an unusable state with firmware 4.7.1872.0.

    I would appreciate an update to the Xbox Accessories App that fixes the update functionality and offers the 4.8.1908.0 firmware again.

    Xboc controller

    the elite controller series 2 has Bluetooth compatibility and is therefore compatible with windows 10 too. the first release of the elite controller was before xbox was integrated into windows 10, therefore there was no need at the time for Bluetooth.

    The original XBox Elite controller requires the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 so without that adapter it will not be recognized properly by Windows. The newer, Elite Series 2 can connect to a Windows 10 PC without the need of an adapter.

    My Xbox controller Elite series 2 doesn't update to the latest firmware via Xbos Accesories App (Windows 11, version 23H2)

    Firmware version 517.3202.0 is the latest firmware version available for the Elite Series 2 controller. So your controller has the latest firmware available.

    Don't forget the Elite Series controllers use a different firmware than the other controllers, because it has different features to the standard controllers.

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If I'm understanding what is happening correctly, when you attempt to begin customizing your Elite controller series 2 using your Windows 10 PC & the Xbox Accessories app, you receive a gray box that
    doesn't allow you to continue. Is this correct?

    To configure the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, please make sure that the Windows 10 May 2019 Update (or later) is installed and make sure your PC has the latest fixes. This includes any updates to the apps as well.
