Please assist with region code error

Hello,



Our xbox360 console was bought in South africa but cannot play PAL games.

We did not know that it should have been PAL enabled until it was brought to our attention by a friend of ours that had bought my fiance a PAL game for his birthday.

Please assist with this if possible.

Is there a specific error code you're receiving when you get the error? The error should look similar to XBOS-0000 or 0x00000000. Additionally, please post back with the region you're

If you happen to receive a region related error code (such as XBOS-3012 or 0x80150017), that error may indicate that your Xbox Live account region does not match the region you're physically located in. If you live in a region that

Is it this game isn't for this console region or the 8015017 error if it isn't the 8015 then it's an account region issue

If the this game doesn't match this consoles region you can look at the back of the console and read underneath the serial.number you may have received an imported console

if your console does not match the local region for games, then I'm afraid you will need to get games that will match the region or region free games (It is different per game, there are lists on the internet to see what games are region free or region locked).

The region of the console itself can Not be changed.

 

No it is not just the one game, it is all the games that have PAL on it.

We have tried more than 6 different PAL games, but I still dont understand, the account shows south africa and the console was bought here too.

No idea how to fix this, its really frustrating. THanks for your help.

 

If you read the back of the consoles it will tell you if it's pal or ntsc it is underneath the serial number in the back

please be aware that the region difference for consoles is not only PAL and NTSC, it is also regarding DVD regions like for example shown on this wiki page:
en.wikipedia.org/.../DVD_region_code

The system may be a PAL system, but if region locked games are from a different region then the console, they will not work even if both regions are PAL
