The following is a feature request for the video recording function of the Windows Game Bar in Windows 10.

I would like to be able to hide the recording timer when recording gameplay footage using the Windows Game Bar. Specifically, I would like to have the option to view the recording timer only when the game bar is open (that is, after pressing Win+G).

As it stands, the timer can be dragged around using its own nav bar when the game bar is open, which is good. Using the X (close) button on the timer seems like it would do this, but it just ends the recording. Since the thing has a nav bar already, perhaps
this could be implemented by adding a minimize button to the timer nav bar and also an option in the settings menu.
