PlayStation Minecraft Cannot link to Microsoft Account

I recently purchased the PS4 version of Minecraft for my son. I set up a new PSN account specifically for him and then tried to sign into his existing Microsoft account (which he uses on PC and Switch)

Every time I log him in I get a message saying "Oops! Looks like that Microsoft Account is already connected to another account". It shouldn't be though because he has never used any MS games on the playstation.

As a test, I signed into my PSN account and then connected to my own MS account without any problems.

I've attempted the solutions offered in every thread and video I can - tried multiple times, restarted the PlayStation, deleted all the save data, re-installed, changed passwords, etc - nothing has worked.

I folllowed the url given in the error message, it lead me to Minecraft's support. They said they couldn't help me and that I needed to contact MS. I contacted them and they said that they could see that his account was logging in (I get past that part no worries) but there war no info after that. They said that they cannot see which PSN account the MS accounts are linked to, and that I needed to contact PlayStation support. PlaySation support said that this is a 3rd party log in system and they have no info and that I needed to go mack to Mojang / MS.

So, here I am asking if anyone has ever figured out this issue. It seems like it has been around for a long time and there is no known solution.

Is there anyway to see if what account his MS account has supposedly been linked to?

Could it possibly be because of the restrictions the family groups his accounts are part of?

Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot see on the Microsoft website if you linked your PSN account to it or not.

Have you ever played Minecraft on your or a friend's Playstation?

Or maybe have a friend ever played Minecraft on your Playstation?

I ask because maybe your Microsoft account is not linked to any PSN account, but the PSN account on your PS5 is already linked to other Microsoft account - which makes it impossible for you to sign in and link your current Microsoft account to it.

Unfortunately, you cannot see which PSN account is using the Microsoft account!

The only thing you can try is to check with PSN if there is any possibility to figure out what PSN account is using the Microsoft account,

Ive tried all these things but nothings working -_- plus ive never used Xbox or any other Minecraft platform except PS4
