Playing Xbox Game Pass with my daughter

Hi,

I currently subscribe to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and I have both an Xbox One X and PC. The game Grounded has just been released on the game pass and I really want to play it with my daughter! She has an account on my Xbox (a seperate one from mine)
which she uses to play the games I get and download.

So I wanted to play Grounded on PC whilst she plays it from her account on my xbox, but everytime we load hers up it says "you are already playing this game on another device, please close it to continue". I've checked and its her account its being opened
from. Other forum posts say you can play games at the same time provided they are on different accounts, but I cannot for the life of me figure out whats going on.

So my questions are:

- Can both my and my daughter play Grounded together using my xbox game pass

- If so.....how??

I can't see why this wouldn't work, but you haven't confirmed which account you are using on the PC.

Just make sure that isn't logged-in as your daughter.

Also, just to confirm, you have set your Xbox as your home console and not having to log-in first for her to play games?

I just downloaded the game on PC and Console. I was able to play cross platform with two separate accounts with no issue. It seems that you may have the same account signed into both PC and Console, which is giving you the error. Make sure only your account
is signed in on PC and only your daughter's account signed in on Console.

Hi Gerardo,

The Xbox in our living room is out new Xbox most people use to play and has all the games downloaded to and is is called Xbox Home.

The old Xbox is in my daughter's room.

Can my daughter use the Game Pass without having to purchase another subscription?

I dont think Game Pass has anything to do with the issue.

Both the games they are trying to play are free to play downloads that have been installed to run on the console.

Example 1 - Both want to play Fortnite. If Daughter A is playing and Daughter B turns on her xbox and logs in, it ends Daughter A's session.

Example 2 - Daughter A is playing Roblox and Daughter B loads Minecraft - it ends Daughter A's session on Roblox.

And so on.

Currently it appears that for some reason they cannot be playing ANY game at the same time and both have/are using separate gamer tags.
