there was a "playing time" notification showing on the upper right corner of my TV monitor. It always notify me every 30 mins. this happen when I start using may Xbox One X. I already check my console settings however there is no option to turn it off. and

  2. Dual Monitors

I know split screen over two monitors is impossible but I know that you can have the same display replicated on another screen; my question is how?

I want to able to play on the monitor if just one person is playing but if more than one person is playing on the xbox, it isn't viable for them to be on that monitor but rather the 40 inch TV. Is it possible for the signal to be split so both the monitor
and the TV to have the same audio and visual display in real time using a HDMI splitter?

    Thanks.

Xbox controllers don't connect and console led isn't turned on

Ok, so the Xbox console isn't showing any image on the TV/Monitor?

What color does the power supply show when the console is off and what is the color when the console is on?

    Let's talk Gaming Monitors

I think the big diference between monitor and TV is the size. I was once told that monitors are better for competitive gaming because it comes with a higher resolution and is more responsive. But honestly I don't see the difference. I use a Samsung Curve
    monitor and the specs are

    1920 x 1080

    4ms response time

    60hz

    Free Sync/Flicker Technology

    32 inchesinches

Also I have a Samsung Curve TV. I am using the monitor for my "gaming" room. When I play on my monitor it seems like the gameplay shows the same on my TV. So I dont know!

Does FULL RGB affects Negatively the input lag and Response time on a Monitor/TV?

if it is an actual tv then it will have far higher latency than a proper pc monitor, tv's do have dsub etc for pc connections but that standard is so old.

monitors are designed with latency in mind and don't have tv functions to bog them down, a tv may say 5ms but yours is 720p and that would show it is quite old and in no way would be 5ms in real world tests and practice.

I have an older tv/monitor (as you put it) in the house and remember that used to be like 60 - 70ms of latency even though that stated a low response time.

    What do you play on?

I play games on a 27" 4k monitor at my computer desk. I do enjoy playing games on the tv from time to time though.

    Your Gaming Setup And Accessories

Desk with 2 monitors (One curved 27" monitor and the other is a 40" 4K tv), PC (connected to both the monitor and tv), Astro a50s (PC/XB1), elgato hd60s (for the random times I do try to stream), XB1X, Switch, and PS4 (all connected to the 4K tv).

The screen difference isn't that bad cause I'm usually playing on one and have a Twitch/Mixer stream or Netflix/Hulu/Crunchyroll up on the other.

As a side note my monitor is 1080p 144zh and my TV is 4K 60fps.

Playing PC Games on a TV

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello, after connecting your HDMI cable to your TV, you have the options to show the screen that the PC provides, such as Duplicate the screen, extend the screen or make a screen only.

Try to find the option that duplicates the screen, the TV will function as a second monitor.

Usually in Windows is usually the Function key + some key that shows the monitors.

By choosing the TV as the second monitor, or dupicar, you'll be able to watch Edge on TV.
