    Playing games together on multiple xboxes


    I have a family account with my 9 year old. We have an xbox at home and an xbox live account. We like to play games together but a lot of the games are one player, or if they have split screen, it just sucks. We wanted to get a second xbox in the house
    so we can play together for a better experience. We each have our own gamertag and login info. Would we have any issues with having two xboxes in the same house?

    Follow up question: His mom was wanting to get him an xbox for when he is at her house too. He would want to sign in and play on his own account/gamertag while he's there. Would he be able to access that from a different house? We each always use our
    own gamertag, but didn't know if he logged in from a different house if it could kick me off or something. Sorry if I sound old, it's because I am! Lol

    Well, that would make sense. And would be fairly nice. I now wonder how it would work if you have multiple copies of a game for online purposed to play together. It would be easy for multiple game licenses to be stored on an account for family purposes
    but will they have that implemented. That way, for the MP games we want to play together we could link those copies to our account and play together and then on the SP games we could just share those. Seems like it is not to bad if that is the case.

    I really don't want to overthink this.

    Profile A can play A games anywhere

    Profile B can play B games anywhere

    Profile C can play C games anywhere

    Obviously, now home xbox comes in.

    Each profile can set one home xbox. The home xbox has all the profiles games availiable to anyone on the console. A single console can be the home to many profiles.

    So you got 3 profiles, figure out which profile owns what, and which console gets access.

    In my house its just my and my wife. I use the bedroom console she uses the living room. If shes uses the bedroom console I'm not playing period and can remain signed in. Works perfectly for us. (easy with 2 people)

    So don't overthink, but If you have anymore questions, or still don't get it, don't hesitate to ask. With 3 accounts you may not find a perfect solution.

    EDIT: A profile can be signed in to grant access to games, but remember, all accounts, can only be signed in, in one place at a time.

    Your profile needs to stay signed in on the console downstairs, and then child 2 (C) can log in on his account as well, and play the games. Because you made the console upstairs the home Xbox, your profile needs to stay signed in on the console downstairs so any one who logs in on their account can play the games on the downstairs console.
