    Playing games offline on Xbox One.


    Husband just bought an Xbox One S console. Have connected to internet to set up both console & games, but now want to be able to just play the games OFFLINE. We have set it as our "Home Xbox" & put the network setting to "play offline" & Halo worked
    initially, but then we turned it off to do other stuff. Came back later & now neither game [disc] we purchased will let us play without "signing in". Settings still set as "home xbox" & "offline". According to everything I can find & everyone I've spoken
    to this is all we should have to do to be able to play offline, so what else can we do? Getting VERY frustrated! Help!

    Playing games offline on Xbox One.

    It should work. This page has the details of what you should be able to do with the console set to Offline: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/networking/using-xbox-one-offline

    Now when you say it won't let you play without signing in, are you referring to an Xbox Live Profile? You'll need to sign in with a profile to be able to play, even if the console is online or offline, and it's possible that it would need to be online with
    both profiles at least once to verify account details, settings, and restrictions.

    When you hook up your console online it's not easy to play offline games as continual server's update is required
