Playing Fortnite with 2 Xbox accounts (family) and 1 shared xbox live account at the same time?

Make sure the profile that has a Gold subscription is playing on the Xbox that is not marked as home. The non-Gold account can then use the xbox marked as the home account. Both accounts need to be xbox live accounts with email addresses but only one needs
a gold subscription.

Also make sure you are signed into the Gold account when marking the home xbox. Xbox live accounts are free.

I think extended is wrong.

The true and first meaning of the account/game sharing was to a house share like 2 brothers with 2 consoles and for the parents doesnt need to buy 2 xbox live golds or 2 games. And not to people share with all their friends.

Doesnt mix the family settings with account sharing on Xbox, is not the same thing and not the same end.

So lets say he has 4 xbox units in the same house (or in the family) that all share 4 gold family accounts (1 primary, 3 secondary accounts). I understand you can transfer the accounts around but can each console use its own account and all play at the
same time?

-For example:

"ABC" is account 1 (Primary)

"DEF" is account 2 (secondary)

"GHI" is account 3 (secondary)

"JKL" is account 4 (secondary)

--All the accounts are registered on living room xbox (main xbox in the family)

Can someone that has a xbox in their bedroom recover and log on with the "DEF" account (not the main account) and play an online game at the same moment someone in the living room is logged on with the "ABC" account and play a different online game at the
same moment? Without either of the accounts being logged off automatically?

The reason I am asking is because my brother and I want to get the online family membership and each have our own account to use (he has his own xbox and I have my own....he lives out of town in a dormroom in college) We both want to play at the same time
though on our accounts. Is this possible? We don't want to have to transfer accounts between xboxs everytime we log on and we both may want to play each other in a game of madden online.

I agree that there is room for improvement in the current family sharing system. My Idea would be a true "Home" sharing setup, where all Xboxes on the same home network could share 1 gold account. They could even limit that to maybe 1 gold account can
share with up to 4 Xboxes on the same local network. That would solve most family account issues, and still be controlled enough to limit the abuse of the program.

The other way they could handle it would be similar to how Microsoft runs Office 365. With my 365 account I can have up to 5 running instances of Office at once, and I can designate family members to share my 365 account with. If Live Gold used that same
system, then you could add your family to the account the same way. 365 is $99 a year, where Live Gold is $60, so maybe up the "family shared" version of Live Gold to $99 a year, where a single use account is still $60?

I would also like a Microsoft "Super" account that would give me Office 365, Xbox Gamepass, and Live Gold under one Subscription...
