    Playing a dvd (well, trying to)


    Hey, i know Playing a DVD is literally the most Simple thing an xbox is SUPPOSED to be able to do, and its 2019 and for whatever reason an xbox just absolutely refuses to play a DVD. Maybe instead of charging $500 + for a console with false promises, maybe
    actually put work into a product and at least pretend to care about the consumer when making and selling a product. Thanks for the good times of me staring at a frozen screen.

    As others have stated, you need the app in order to play DVD/Blu-ray discs. Search and download the Blu-ray app from the store and let us know if this resolved your issue.

    Hello brianweber6, hopefully i can help solve your problem. The xbox one is weird in the way you cant just insert a dvd and play it. Instead you have to go to the store and download the dvd app. I use the blueray app since it plays normal dvds as well.

    DVD Playback glitch

    I put the DVD in question into my PC and it's playing all episodes with no problem, as well as navigating well through the menu. So it seems like the DVD isn't the problem... But all my game discs work well with my Xbox. I haven't tried any other DVDs
    in the Xbox, so maybe I need to try some out and see if it's the actual DVD application.
