    I recently got a really, really offensive message from a player online (Star Wars Battlefront II - which is the most toxic bunch of Xbox players I have ever come across) that not only went so far as to call me a [racial slur] as well as incredibly homophobic and toxic. If I posted a message like this on Facebook, Twitter or said it aloud in public I would've been cancelled immediately. I reported the player but nothing happened to him and he was on the next morning (less than 7 hours later). Microsoft never contacted me to update me on the result of the reporting of the player.

    Now this type of behaviour is escalating, in the same game - players spawn in as duplicate characters using a glitch. This makes the game fun for them but not the team they're playing against. Reporting these players again results in no action being taken and the usual Xbox apathetic responses of 'take the high ground', 'block them' or my favourite, 'don't let it bother you' response isn't cutting it for me anymore. Why doesn't Xbox actually DO something about toxic players on THEIR platform?

    PS EA, as usual, didn't respond.

    Investigations can take time so enforcement actions aren't always issued immediately. Just because they haven't been suspended yet, doesn't mean they won't be. The enforcement team also won't reach out about a report so you won't be told when something does happen.

    I write this with the maximum amount of disdain and disrespect towards Xbox and its 'family safety' PR spin. It comes as absolutely no surprise nor shock that I anticipated this type of response. Xbox should do more especially considering the contents of the message I received. Perhaps if I posted an image of the message here it would help - but 'ambassadors' like yourself would make sure it never sees the light of day. You know, the Xbox platform is squeaky clean and safe...

    The VERY least Xbot can do is have the decency to send an automated message that something might be done.

    I KNOW I'm not the only one that has these issues; this forum is awash with topics like this and you Xbox 'Ambassadors' just shoot everyone down with the same stock responses.

    You are not supposed to use names or gamertags of other players in xbox.live. Just report the player that was harassing you by filing a complaint:

    If you believe the players are abusing or harassing do not reply to them in any form. Just block them and report them message for player.

    What is the real utility of this?

    The enforcement agent is explaining that your ban was justified as you used abusive language against other players. In the future, if other players are harassing you the best step would be to block or mute them instead of verbally retaliating. You can
    also report these players if they are abusing the code of conduct.
