play with steam

First, welcome to the community. I don't know if I understand, did you buy Halo Infinite from the Microsoft Store or Steam?

If you purchased it from the Microsoft Store, you will only be able to play this version on the Xbox app, or on consoles. Xbox play anywhere only works that way, it doesn't allow you to play the game on steam.

To play in steam it is necessary to buy in steam.

If you refer to your in-game progress, unfortunately, the game only has a cross-save between Xbox consoles and the PC's game pass and Microsoft Store version, as you won't be able to transfer your save to steam.

if that game has cross play of course yes

If that title supports cross play between steam and windows/Xbox depending on which you are playing on.

If the game is cross play like PUBG or Rocket league, yes you can.

hey, im doing great and hopefully you are doing the same. but i ended up pre ordering the game from bestbuy as a digital purchase. and that makes sense. i guess ill do campaign on the xbox app and play multiplayer on steam haha. too bad it doesnt allow play on steam because their controller functionality just works way better (using a ps4 controller).
