    Play/Pause voice commands no longer work for Live tV


    I used to be able to say 'xbox pause' and 'xbox play' to play/pause live TV - it would send the tivo remote code which play/pauses the TV. It was great!

    This no longer functions - the xbox just says 'Can't Play from here'

    Am i crazy, or was this removed in a firmware update? Could this functionality be returned? "volume up" and "volume down" still works.

    TV pvr voice commands no longer working

    For some reason my voice commands for tv pvr functionality have stopped work, When I say "Xbox pause", I get a message at the top of the screen saying "Unable to pause from current location" but if I pickup my xbox controller and select the on-screen pause
    button it will pause my pvr, the xbox media remote will also pause my pvr. All the channel changing and one guide commands still work. The pause command also works fine in other apps like Plex.

    This is fairly annoying since these are the commands I probably use most.

    Xbox Pause No Longer Works

    Using the voice command "Xbox Pause" stopped working recently. It used to pause live TV, Netflix, Streaming Video, etc. and now it pauses nothing. I even tried pausing while watching a video on Xbox Movies and TV or whatever the app is called and that didn't
    work either. It says "Cannot Pause Right Now" or something to that effect whenever I try.

    Is anyone successfully using Directv Genie Client with Xbox One?

    TV works fine, changing channels etc but the pause, fast forward will work but it won't show on the screen so I have no idea when to start playing again. It does this using the xbox voice commands or the Genie remote.

    So I'm in!

    Pausing after saying "Xbox" never worked for me either. Just say it casually & it should work fine. I do want to mention however, that any other voices either on the TV or in the room can interfere with the voice commands, so make sure to either mute the
    TV first or to ask others in the room to be quiet for a moment.

    What cable should I go buy from best buy. My Xbox one won't work with my hdmi. It connects sloppy. TV won't work as it blinks a black screen with no sound. also my connect won't recon is voice commands like pause or play or channel change. Thanks
