    Play Flight Simulator 2020 and update on close?


    Can FS 2020 be updated after playing instead of before?

    Installed FS 2020, waiting several hours for 128gb to download and install. Played twice. Open FS 2020 and instead of allowing me to play, it forces another several hour download of 40gb.

    Is there a way to initiate updates before closing or without even opening, or will I be forced to wait several hours every once in a while instead of being able to used the software? I am not that patient. This was sort of a trial to see if I liked the game. Not a good experience.

    If disconnecting the internet is the answer, it's not the answer. I can only imagine if I opened Windows one morning and had to wait two hours before I could use it because I was forced to update first without warning.

    You will be happy to know that a standard Xbox controller is enough to play Flight Simulator 2020 and any other game on Xbox consoles.     Hello, Yes, it is possible to configure Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates to be downloaded to an external folder. To do this, follow these steps:

    Open the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 application.

    Select the Settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

    Select "General" in the left sidebar.

    Scroll down to the "Updates" section.

    Select the "Use a different location for updates" option.

    Select the external folder where you want the updates to be downloaded.

    Select "OK."

    Once you have completed these steps, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 updates will be downloaded to the external folder you selected.
