    Hey all,

    From what I can tell, all the web articles I've seen point to play anywhere titles only working with digital downloads. Do you think Microsoft will change to include hard copies of the Xbox one game as well? That'd be awesome since you'd be able to get the
    special edition of the game while still being able to play it on your PC.

    I have bought Forza Horizon 3 in the disc format, I want to know does the play anywhere only counts towards the digital version of the game or to the hard copy as well?

    Hi!

    No, L2D is not part of the Play Anywhere titles and it's not cross-platform, so you'll need to purchase a copy for console too.

    I haven't heard anything about this happening. But it should. Since the Disc is basically a glorified License key even on the xbox i don't see why they couldn't get windows to be able to read the license off the disc to allow for play.

    I haven't heard anything about this happening. But it should. Since the Disc is basically a glorified License key even on the xbox i don't see why they couldn't get windows to be able to read the license off the disc to allow for play.

    Unfortunately Xbox Play Anywhere titles only applies to digital copies and not disc copies. I don't believe it's possible to link your Xbox account if you have the game on disc. If the game is an Xbox One disc copy, it will not work on the PC.
