Play anywhere Feature-Forza horizon 4 272plus hours and 336 cars unlocked all gone!!!!

My 14 Year nephew played 272 hours of Forza horizon on Xbox one unlocked are 336 cars plus most of the achievements. we recently played forza horizon on PC -it prompted to use local or Clould save. We Choose local not to override the cloud. When we went
back to the xbox one all the unlocks/progress was gone. I opened a ticket with forza support and there answer is its all gone start fresh and that next time first choose local then choose cloud. How are people suppose to know that without any warning or
clear directions?... I am in IT myself and that's not an acceptable answer. Microsoft has play anywhere feature and doesn't give any warning. At least offer some credits or something and fix this issue and warn people or have a better process. What Can
i do to recover the data I never choose cloud on the PC. NO warning was given that it will eventually overwrite the data on the cloud. I would have assume that they would give an option to use the play anywhere feature or not. Or start a new game to a different
Save slot. I am reading that some people got 100 Million credits from MS or Froza and they had only half of the time spend and less cars. Who do i need to talk to look to see if i can recover the data if possible.

searching online it seems people have been having this issue since 2018. Unbelievable. We choose local to avoid messing with data on the cloud or worry that it will erase the data. Why even give the user the option when the data will be overwritten anyways.
If the user wants they could have restarted the game from beginning from the game menu this way there is no confusion. Or Least give the user a warning message. The whole process is deceiving and not proper. Can you please give me a phone number to call?.
I am Sorry if i seem rude but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Unfortunately there is no way to recover a cloud save once it's been overwritten. I had a similar issue on another Forza game myself and had to start completely over after having completed the majority of the game. If some people got credits from Forza or
MS, I'm not sure who they spoke to. Being in-game credits they most likely spoke to Turn 10 or Playground games, but I've never heard of them offering anything for that myself.
