“Platinum” Achievements

are you talking about the platinum chief armor? Last i checked, you never actually got the armor for any achievement, you recieve the platinum helmet for getting the achievement "wake up john" but the actual armor, the body pieces..you need to buy in order
to obtain, case and point..i have not completed it on legendary but i have the platinum body armor

My offline gamer-tag years ago had about 40,000 (Give or take.) before I started this one. When I was at about 3,000, on this tag, there was a girl at work about 1,000 below me that said something like, "I'm catching up and going to pass you!". It started
a little competition, with me always trying to stay ahead by a thousand; fizzled out when I hit about 10,000. Now there is a little competition at work between two of us on trophies and achievements...I'm leading with achievements, while my friend is leading
with trophies.

The main reason I like achievements/trophies is that it adds value to games, and will get me to try games that might have been passed over before. Going back for an achievement/trophy sometimes shows me things I might have missed the first play-though. And
in the case of The Wolf Among Us, I find a enjoyable game that would have been passed over otherwise.

MS could simply add a "completed games" counter on everyone's bio and that's it. I mean, I don't think that exists yet. You can see it on your profile but don't think you can see other players' counters. No need for platinum kinda thing, let that be a PS
thing.

There is no completely true measure, but I would be happier in the knowledge I had accumulated 100,000 GS from full game titles as opposed to multiple indie/arcade games that can be completed to full 1000 GS in 1 hour (and yes I've played Pneuma and IDARB
lol, although not to full 1000!). I don't measure myself against other gamers based on total GS, it's more of a personal thing for me.

I know the total number isn't a measure of gaming prowess, but it's clearly a popular feature for many and a lot of people do take notice of their total GS and it's therefore a feature that MS need to look at and carefully balance.

I'm personally more pleased with completing Gears 1 on Insane, solo (hence my profile picture), or Halo 4 solo on Legendary.

Farscape247 to take achievements out the world. You have to take it out more then just XBOX. you even have take out of school like the honor roll. Because some people think the honor roll is pointless. Because it doesn't do what schools post to do. It
teach kids to be on the same level of each other.
