    Plans to fix multiple Atmos issues?


    So, I understand there is a known issue with Atmos and what the work-around is. I do read the wire. However, that is not the only Atmos issue that has been reported. I was curious what the Dev team thinks all the issues are (is there a master Atmos issue list? If so, can we see it?) and if there is plan to deal with a bunch of them at once? Because if the only aspect of the Atmos implementation that gets fixed is the periodic dropout for 120Hz 12 bit users, that would be wildly disappointing. If you're already opening up that section of the code, might as well pull in a bunch of the 'nice-to-haves' as well, don't you think?

    Full transparency I'm one of the Denon users experiencing all the same issues as u/LordGideon. Luckily the Netflix crashing issue is fixed now (for me at least).

    Dolby Atmos not working on the Disney plus app on Xbox

    I have a Samsung Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos. All works fine on the Xbox One X with Netflix, Amazon Prime, gaming and the Dolby Atmos app. Doesn't work with the Disney Plus app though. Sound isn't coming through the rear speakers and sounds very ordinary.
    I go and do the Atmos tests and demos on the Dolby Atmos Xbox app and they work and sound awesome.

    I've googled around and apparently lots of people are having the same issue with the app. Hope they fix it soon as I was planning on watching the Star Wars trilogy in 4K and Atmos. I'll wait until they fix it.

    XBOX, DENON or DOLBY final fixed the Atmos issue....well sort of.

    I started Call of Duty normally like I do, and Atmos showed up of my DENON X3600H...BUT!!! The next day, I started Call of Duty, it was back to Multi channel.

    So I when into the Dolby app (like I did multiple times trying to fix the issue), went to setup for “Home Theater”, and as soon as I clicked on it, the incoming sound source switched to Atmos automatically.

    So unfortunately, every time I turn on my Xbox I have to do that... but at least Atmos work now, when it didn’t before! And it sounds WAY better!
