PLAINS AND AIRPORTS GONE

Apologies for the late response, but I have tried those ways to fix it and they haven't worked. I tested Chicago O'Hare airport (which I know is intense, but I wanted variety) and others that were not dense. In Chicago it was about 10-18 fps with lag spikes on Ultra, and on Low-End it was 15-25 with slightly less lag spikes. Even in not dense airports I would get lag spikes. I used MSI AfterBurner and neither my gpu or cpu threads were fully used. No thread was at 100% usage, despite MSFS saying it was limited by main thread. Even when it did say it was limited by the gpu the gpu wasn't at 100%. I'm just confused why even when all of the cpu-intensive settings were at their lowest I still got unsatisfactory performance for my hardware. My temperatures are also fine. 60 degrees celcius and 72 degrees celcius for cpu and gpu respectively. I also do have times when it runs pretty smoothly, like 40-50 or even 60 fps, but even plain airports can have varying performance. I know these are vague symptoms, but is there anything I can do about this? Is AMD now better optimized for MSFS and Windows 11? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hey man, it seems like your dad is a smart man, but in this case he is wrong. Its okay, it happens to the best of us. For your info - WPA / WPA2 has to do with over the air network packet security (sending of data strings encrypted vs in plain text). Your
Xbox will not affect this in any way. Only if your Xbox required "no security" to function would it degrade your connection. Some legacy (aka older devices) are this way, but this is pre 2005. Then the entire setup would have to be re-engineered with no encryption,
thus your dad would be correct. The Xbox however SUPPORTS all types of security, so theres no problem there. I currently run an Airport Extreme 802.11n router , WPA2 encryption, assigned IP addresses, and NAT to the Xbox IP. This is an optimal setup. If you
really want to convince your dad you need to explain to him that he has good intentions, but that he needs to update his technology knowledge with the times. Tell him Microsoft wouldn't make an Xbox if it were to interfere with everyones security - it would
be a bad business model. Lots of complaints and lots of troubleshooting. Just make sure your dad learns about how WPA works, how the XBOX is compatible, and you should be all good!! Good luck!
