    Ping issues after getting a connection upgrade


    I've had a couple connection issues as of lately in online play, my ping is higher than it used to even with an upgraded connection. I used to vary between 30-40 ping on my side of servers and around 60-70 to the opposite end.

    Now my ping is around 60-80 on my servers and around 90-100 on the other ones. I don't know if this is an issue caused by my router/modem, a console issue, or just some weird thing going on.

    I also have video evidence on how my connection wants to go to those original ping values but ultimately just goes into the worse connection, which makes the experience horrible most of the time since my ping is fluctuating a lot now. Any help? I don't even know if this is the right sub to ask for help but it was what i found.

    Yeah I'm getting the issue too. Live connection issue. I've done all TS with my router and modem. So I go to cmd.exe. Ping google.com fine, ping xbox.com all connection times out. Connect anywhere else in the world, fine, xbox....nope.

    Your upload and ping are killing your connection. You should talk to your ISP and see what the next upgrade package is and costs.

    Connect to XBOX Live BUT.......

    I would suggest an upgrade with your ISP for a better result. What is your actual Ping, Up/Down? Go to speedtest.net and see. If you have a really high ping (lets say 250 < ) then definatly get a better provider or an upgrade in service. Call the ISP and
    tell them the issue you are having. Maybe your modem is just malfunctioning.

    This sounds like a high ping related issue because I've had this issue before. You can try using a Ethernet cable instead of your WiFi, upgrade your router or limit the amount of computers using your router then try connecting to a multiplayer lobby. Please

    Ping and WiFi are two separate issues. PING is time measured in milliseconds from data to go from your connection to the host or server. An average good ping is between 20 to 50, so 28 is great.

    WiFi concerns the connection strength from console to your router.
