Picture Freezing with TiVo on HDMI Passthrough Since NXOE Update

I have a TiVo Bolt connected via HDMI to my Xbox One which is turn connected to a Pioneer VSX-521 A/V Receiver which is connected to my TV. Since the NXOE update this week, the picture and video appear to freeze for
several seconds when trying to rewind or fast forward a show. This never happened before the update. I have tried connecting the TiVo directly to the TV and via the Receiver and I don't get the same problem, the video is smooth when fast forwarding and rewinding
so the issue is definitely with the Xbox.

Anyone having the same issue or figured out a fix?

HDCP issues

+1 I'm having the same issue with a TiVo Premiere. My connection is TiVo Premiere -> HDMI Hub -> Xbox One -> Samsung TV. I had never seen the HDCP error message until using Xbox One's passthrough.

 

Surround sound on Virgin Media Tivi Box not working through HDMI passthrough

Hi Guys,

I have just replaced my sky box with a Virgin Media Tivo Box

With Sky I had full surround sound through HDMI passthrough, but with this box i only get 2.0

Setup is Tivo-> Xbox One ->optical out to LG Surround Sound

Anyone else had similar? Is there a magic setting to set!

 

This is exactly the same issue I've been reporting as a bug ever since the October 31st/November 1st Beta versions of NXOE in the Preview program. Others have reported the same bug in the beta builds with DirectTV DVRs and even Windows Media Center HTPCs.

There is no fix for this, we have to wait for MS to develop and release a fix.

The work-around is to remove the Xbox One console from your TV watching setup.

 

Glad to hear I'm not the only one having these problems. I assumed I couldn't be.

It's frustrated that a bug like this exists because the video passthrough on the Xbox One is one of the best features and the xbox is frequently touted as a home media entertainment solution, but this is ultimately going to lead me to connecting my Tivo
directly to the TV and just using the xbox as a games console.

 

I am having similar issues with a Roamio Plus. I am also experiencing longer than pre-update times to tune a channel and it will freeze for 5 or seconds prior to showing the video. It feels like there may be an HDCP issue with my setup, but don't have
the same issues when I take the XBONE out of the setup. My setup is similar to your Keldoric (TIVO to XBONE to Yamaha Receiver to TV).

 

Same problem. Is there a way to roll back the xbox update?

 

Similar issues here. The update has reduced my Tivo to a dumb cable box. DVR Functionality is completely hosed. Maddening to hear that this issue was reported in the beta and yet it was still released (and no release notes to even acknowledge the problem?).

and here i thought it was the tivo update that introduced the issue. it's jan 9th, 2016 - still having this issue.

 

I just want to add my voice. TiVo Roamio, same issues. I'm almost ready to just demote the Xbox One to a different HDMI input and go back to being able to use my DVR without wanting to throw the remote at the TV. Please fix this, Microsoft!
