picture calibration

hi i use my xbox one s on an old acer monitor

i use an hdmi to vga adapter to get the picture on the screen

but i have problems with the resolution

the picture is always a bit too big or is leaking out the left picture side

i tried all possible settings on the xbox for hdmi and auto recognizing and resolutions and theres no zoom option on the monitor and i tried scaling the picture on it too and it doesnt work

just wanted to brighten the monitor a bit and the picture flipped to the right side

Gaming Calibration on my Plasma TV

I own a Panasonic TC-P42U2 and when i game i play on Game Mode picture settings on my tv but i dont know how to calibrate it to get the best picture for gaming. From what i've heard Gaming calibration is different then Movie or television calibration.

I have xbox 360 s, Live account, Diablo 3. During, in my first logged in the game I calibrate picture (width, altitude).

Now I change TV and picture вeyond the edge of the screen.

My wife have Live account too. We logged in
with an account of my wife, calibrate, and picture
size is included in the boundary
screen.

How can I recalibrate picture in Diablo 3 for my Live account?

On your Xbox One S console you could try adjusting the output resolution to see if this helps at all however I suspect this will more than likely be an issue with the monitor/vga adapter, If possible can you please try connecting your console directly to
a television using a HDMI cable to see what happens.

 

i dont have a monitor with hdmi input, this is my only one

i tried all resolutions either the picture is just to big on the left side or it is to far in the left side so i cant see half the screen but the monitor shows black box on the right side so i´d just have to switch the pciture to the left or make it smaller

this doesn`t help! i tried everything they tell me there or why should i ask here?

Hey there Thoral,

As this is not a supported function we won't be able to fully advise on how to set this up. I know I have personally seen some consoles with this set up that work, But I've also seen some that don't work.

The Xbox One is designed to be used through the HDMI, using a monitor that supports HDMI is best recommended.

We suggest, if it hasn't been done to check if the Magnifier is set to on in the settings on the Xbox. To check go to Settings>Ease of Access>Magnifier and make sure its off. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

 

screen has a resolution of 1280x720

 

but so far it worked i only adjusted my brightness and then the screen flipped....

 

i already checked that too

it isnt

im pretty desperated because somehow i can see the whole screen when i switch to priorize hdmi and resolution on 640x480 in video settings but its really, really blurred so i cant play well...

If the previous steps didn't help we suggest a reset of the console since
the problem might be on the actual OS of the console (perhaps a bad update)so we would suggest a

Soft Factory Reset (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

• There is a stable network connection.
• The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
