Physical media trade in for virtual?

Afraid not.

Best to just keep them because even if you took them to a games shop to trade in you wont get much for them.

If any of them are backwards compatible you can still use them as long as your box one isn't the digital edition.

has MS's 300,000 claims ever been confirmed to be physical or virtual yet? 300,000 physical servers is impressive, but if half of them are virtual it is less so.

MS has over 1 million physical servers. the 300k are physical which can then be spun into virtual servers.

A physical server is an actual piece of hardware. a virtual server is splitting those physical servers into their own servers splitting the hardware so you can have 1 virtual servers with say a quad core processor and 32 GB ram and split it into 4 virtual
servers each using 1 core and 8 GB ram to make it into 4 virtual servers

Honestly, this could end up being a revolutionary idea. The one concept of digital media that really sticks me is not the fact that I don't own a physical disc (safely securing your digital data can easily be done) but the fact that I can't freely trade
and sell my games.
