Photojournalist achievement is unobtainable

The Photojournalist achievement in Gears of War 2 has been unobtainable since Microsoft acquired the Gears of War franchise. Frankly, it is embarrassing for them to have an unobtainable achievement in a franchise that the company wholly controls.

I know that this has been reported by other players. My hope is that more reports will garner more attention to the problem.

The Photojournalist achievement in Gears of War 2 has been unobtainable since Microsoft acquired the Gears of War franchise. Frankly, its just embarrassing to have an unobtainable achievement in a franchise that the company wholly controls.

Gears of War 2 Photojournalist achievement is unobtainable

Microsoft just acquired the franchise this year and the server hosting the images went offline in late June. Multiplayer is still up. No mention was made to the service being switched off, which could indicate that it was just overlooked during the switchover.

The point remains that Microsoft should not have an unobtainable achievement in a franchise that it owns.

 

Sorry bud, I hope they fix this for you too! It would really mess with me if I could not get that achievement.

 

Actually WizardSleeve08 they will fix it. I send them a message, I might take higher mesures like taking this to court because there has been no official announcement. It should have een announced at least 30 days because the closure of the service. sorry
Microsoft XD. Unless they ready to sign a big check, they should fix it for 30 days AT LEAST. Now I'm waiting for an answer.

Bumping this. I also am trying to get all the multiplayer achievements but since nobody plays this game anymore it wont match me up with anyone

 

Love how Microsoft won't respond to this, it's an utter embarrassment for them to have unobtainable achievements for a title as big as Gears Of War, pathetic.

 

I started Gears of War 2 a couple days ago and realize that the photojournalist is now unobtainable thanks to the latest patch Black Tusk came out with. I didn't find out till I looked at the achievement list on www.trueachievements.com and it show 1 unobtainable
achievement for the game. Being an Achievement Hunter is an awesome thing to do because once you here that gloop "ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED" you feel satisfied for accomplishing that specifications that you were needed to do to unlock that achievement. Which can
range from doing the "50 Hit Combo" achievement on Avatar The Last Airbender: The Burning Earth for 300G to the "Hard to the Core" achievement on Dead Space 2 for 50G. Then once achievement hunters find out that there's an unobtainable/ discontinued achievement
for the games they play thanks to a glitch in the game or a patch that they came out with for the game that broke the coding for that specific achievement so that the achievement doesn't unlock when you meet the fulfillment of that achievement. I bought my
Xbox 360 for Gears of War not Halo and Gears of War is the reason why I begged my parents, 8 years ago, to please to get me Xbox Live. At that time I only had Gears of War to play for almost 2 years till my parents to finally get me Xbox Live. Once I had it
I was so happy. If I had a choice to choose a game to play the rest of my life it'll be the Gears of War franchise because I like all the Gears of War titles, not to veined with Judgment though. To the point I'm saying is Microsoft you bought the rights to
the Gears of War franchise with the rights to the games and even made its own studio called Black Tusk Studios. Please listen to us achievement hunters and make an update for the game so that we can complete game considering that I'm currently working on completing
ALL Gears of War titles. So if the achievement is unobtainable on the Japan version of Gears of War 2 too please update that too because I would like to have all 6 Gears of War games completed. Listen to your Gearheads Microsoft and do the right thing please.

I'm beginning to lose hope. This is crazy. I like getting all the achievements in my games and refuse to buy Gears of War 3 or Judgement until I have done this one. Many others on Trueachievements.com and Xboxachievements.com are also upset about this. Please
fix this Microsoft!!

 

Has anyone seen/received an acknowledgement from Black Tusk? We did not see an issue like this when Halo was transferred over to 343. I agree Mo Shizzy about not getting another GoW game until this is fixed somehow. Just make it pop somehow.

 

I'm definitely not buying anything from Black Tusk ever until they fix this achievement. And Microsoft for ignoring our request, you're simply a disgrace. I might just go to PS3, at least I know they would do something about it. Lazy company.
