Phone number change?

So I lost my phone number long ago and couldn't log in for the longest time until one day I got a text from my old number and I was able to get my security reset code well I had to wait for 30 days for the change to take affect. Well unfortunately it's past a day now from when it said I had to wait and still nothing but here's another problem I'm having when I went to change the phone number, ironically the last two numbers were the same so I couldn't tell if it worked or not for example it looked like this. ( Your old number ***-***-**12)

( Your Current number ***-***-**12)

So I'm currently lost to if It even changed or not plus the date they said it so be in affect was 24 hours ago

I am so sorry you are having issues receiving emails to your verification Microsoft account.

The best place to start is to check your internet connectivity and your connectivity to your Outlook. Do you receive the email on another device?

It's also good to check your Junk Email settings to check if you have blocked or removed safe senders and to check your filters at the bottom.

If that doesn't work, check your junk and storage. (Can be found in the Storage setting under general)

If none of this works, try changing your password.

To remove / add / update a phone number on your Microsoft account:
1. Go to "Manage how you sign in to Microsoft" and sign in to your account: https://account.live.com/names/Manage

2. Select "Add phone number" and follow through the process of verifying your contact details and adding it to your account.

3. You can make the new contact the primary alias by selecting "Make primary".

4. You’ll then have the option to remove the old email address or phone number from your account.
