Semi regular smack talk in a Destiny 2 3v3. Yes I know the game can be toxic, but I was just letting my teammates know that it was pretty obvious they got their season rank non legit. We got on the subject of the guy talking only in lowercase, and he, Verbatim, texted, [mod rmeoved] child predator". Now I was prompted with a message here in the last few months, where I had to answer the question if an adult or a child was using the account, I'm 19 so I said adult. That doesn't mean I appreciate my sexuality being harassed, or being called a child predator. That whole sentence they sent me, was a bannable offense. But because I'm legally an adult that means slurs are okay?

That's not cool Microsoft, fix that. A lot of this person's messages are bannable, I'll be honest I've been banned for some of the things they've said, such as [mod removed]" simple ones.

They're not allowed on the console either. As long as you reported them, the enforcement team will investigate and take the appropriate action. It's not always immediate though.

I'll reply to myself since I can see that on here, it blurs the words out. That's funny, if it's not allowed here, why is it allowed on the console itself? That's just unfortunate

Well I'd like to agree, as I've witnessed it take a few hours or a day for someone to get banned but usually the AutoChecker (Thingy) sees words that are Set in Stone not allowed. Especially slurs, well when used as a slur that is. I'd just like this guy's banned for awhile (Not my call I know) like two weeks minimum.

As an example, an example. If he, or I, or anyone, just unprecedented, 1St ban ever on the account called someone the Hard R, it would be very undermining for them to get a slap on the wrist such as a 2 day, 3 Day, 7 Day Ban. It doesn't seem justified in my opinion.

You can set your communications to friends only and block in the Xbox Live Privacy settings of your account or console. There is also new message settings in Xbox Live Privacy settings on your console that can help in blocking unwanted communications.
