Persistent Notifications Regarding Old Refund Cases

I am deeply concerned about the relentless barrage of notifications flooding my inbox regarding old refund cases that have already been resolved. Despite my repeated requests to cease these notifications, I continue to receive them on a regular basis, which is becoming intolerable.

There is no justification or necessity for reminding me about these old cases that have already been settled. Not only is this highly irritating, but it is also entirely inexplicable. How then can I put an end to this persistent annoyance?

I demand an immediate resolution to this issue and assurance that I will no longer be subjected to these unnecessary and burdensome messages. I will not let this matter go unaddressed and will consider taking further action if this issue is not effectively rectified.

    :)

Persistent Notifications Regarding Old Refund Cases

Hi, my name is Annanda, thank you for your question and for reaching out.

I truly understand the situation and am sorry you are also going through this. Know that you are not alone in this, since many players are experiencing the same situation.

This is happening due to a bug that happened on the refund system a month ago and made refunds be paid slower and emails of old refunds be sent to players. Xbox/Microsoft is aware of the situation ( as they stated on their Support website ) and is looking into it to get it solved as fast as possible. You can disregard the emails while they are working on it.

If you want more information on the matter, the only thing that can be done is to contact Support, okay? Here in the community, we have no access to accounts/billing information.

    https://support.xbox.com/contact-us/

The problem choice you choose on the Support link might not give you access to Request a Call or Live Chat, and in this case, try selecting other problems ( even if does not match the issue you are facing ) because what is important here is for you to contact Support. So do this until the contact options appear, okay?

I hope I was able to answer your questions! Please, if you have any other doubts, we are here to help.

If the reply was helpful, please don’t forget to upvote or accept as an answer, thank you.

    Best Regards, Annanda.

My friend is getting money back on refund he submitted months ago but why ?

Hi, Cody! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.

To clarify, was your friend notified about this refund via email? the reason I'm asking is that according to the notifications section at [ http://www.xbox.com/refunds ], Microsoft is investigating an issue regarding old refund request emails being sent.

For your reference, this is the notification on the refunds page:

    "Questions about a refund email?"

"We’re investigating an issue in which old refund request emails are being sent. Sign in to account.microsoft.com/orders to see the status of your latest refund request while we fix this."

    -----

Per the instructions on the refunds website, your friend should review his order history to check the status of his latest refund request. He can do this by signing in to his account at [ https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders ] and selecting "Returned/Refunded" from the "View" drop-down menu.

Should he require further assistance with this issue or his account, it would be best for him to contact Xbox Support at: https://support.xbox.com/contact-us

    Best regards.

Regarding the forced persistance of this preview program.

Hi there! Did you opt out via the Insiders Hub app on the Xbox console?

I know that's the only way to fully opt out correctly. You will still get updates, but only when they are pushed to retail. :)

Unable to receive notifications from xbox app?

Yes, if that is the case. This means that the issue is with your new phone. Since everything is set properly on your account and even still get a notification on your old phone.

Persistent Notification in XBOX PC App

Thank you for the response. It seems the reset Xbox App option did the trick for me. The notifications have went away. Thanks again for the assistance!
