Hello, my name is Alexander. 4 months ago I was indefinitely banned over a mutual argument involving vulgar language. I understand how Microsoft wants their platform to be safe, respectful and friendly to all. But a permanent suspension? The amount of time, money and effort people have dedicated to a platform should vanish due to words spoken? I am an advocate for friendly encounters through Xbox Live and freedom of speech retrospectively. I just hope the enforcement team could understand this struggle and offer redemption to make their platform which they are jobbed to keep "a better place". Because in the end, allowing players and accounts to redeem themselves would overall make the platform a safer, nicer and healthy place in all together. I feel that the Microsoft system should take notes from the real judicial system. Not sentence an account to death over some mean words spoken. Sincerely, a peace advocate, - Alexander

The majority of console bans are permanent & can't be appealed.

If it's a console suspension then you'll have to wait until the suspension is over.Console suspensions can not be appealed either.

As M3tal Daz3 mentioned. The Enforcement teams don't use the forums at all and they only communicate through a

Case Review. 24 Hour communications suspensions and Console Suspensions are not reviewable, however you can find more information in these cases through the communication sent by the teams to the email address associated with your Xbox Live Gamertag. Remember
that all suspensions are only enforced when a breach of the
Code of Conduct or
Microsoft Services Agreement has happened.

One of the common myths is that people who report another user for no reason will see that person suspended. This is not the case and in fact is subject to action as well for false reports which you can find more information about Enforcement Myths HERE.

If you believe the suspension was in error and if you're eligible, you can submit a case review using the steps

HERE, however sometimes you're asked to complete a short questionnaire before you can submit a case review. All of the questions refer to the

Code of Conduct, which you should review prior to filing the review.

If you fail on the questionnaire during the Case Review, don't worry as you'll be given another chance in 24 hours.
