    Hi, i opened sopitfy to play music on my xbox, but i noticed i could not hear the game, so i turned off spotify, (i have uninstalled it now) and now i cant hear anyone. I was playing Apex Legend, and i could not hear anyone talk. When i put the setting “mute
    all other sounds by 80%”it sounded like my teamates voices were a mile away and muffled. I even launched Mass effect 2, and i could not hear the characters talk. I am unsure on how to fix this. I have turtle beaches, and i fiddled with volume and that did
    not help. Restarting does not help either. And using my beaches on another xbox controllers did not work either. So i do not know what else to do.

    Just another side problem; i cannt start an xbox party. The button you click to start a party is grey and i cannot start one, why is this?

    I understand that you're having an issue where you can't hear anyone speak after having your Spotify app installed and uninstalled.

    You can hear them but thy sound distant. Also, you're having an issue where you can't start a party because the button you click is greyed

    out. I would first suggest
    Properly power cycling your Xbox console


    and unplugging the console from the power supply for 5 minutes.

    Hello Void,

    We recommend attempting a soft factory reset, to which we suggest that manual settings is chosen upon going
    through the setup:

    Reset and keep my games & apps. You should use this option as your primary choice when troubleshooting. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. This will save you from downloading
    or reinstalling the large game files.

    Note: This will remove all profiles from the console, so be sure that you can sign into any/all accounts on the Xbox One using their credentials.

    Try this and let us know if this works.

    Hey there Void seeker!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to communicate with your party friends.

    I would say that if you are having problems like that, it more than likely is due to a network issue. Another thing you can do is reset your home network by turning off your console with a power cycle, and then unplugging your modem/router for two minutes
    while the console is unplugged. After the time has elapsed, then reconnect your network hardware and wait for all the lights to come up the way they should. When all the lights are back up, try the Xbox again and see if that clears up the problem.

    I also suggest trying the steps outlined in our
    Xbox One Multiplayer Solution
    for resolution of this kind of issue if you can.

    When/if you can, give those steps a shot, that guide a walk through and let us know how that helped.
