People going AFK are ruining the online experience

Too many times over the last few weeks I have gone into a match with at least one person who isn't playing. I can understand if something important takes you away from your tv for a moment or two, but round after round, you need to back out of the match.
I also find it very annoying that if you idle for longer than a minute at the matchmaking menu, you get disconnected due to lack of activity, yet there is nothing like this for people who just stand in the spawn for half the match. Has anyone else experienced
this, or am I just that unfortunate?

^^ Also griefing is obviously not only Dark Souls related. I think the term originally just ment ruining people their experiences / anoying them online. and with people who invade with the OP gear, that's obviously the case.

 

I don't think that you can stand at the spawn the whole match. The server will kick you after a certain amount of inactivity.

 

^what he said. Played a match yesterday, a Guy on IMC (I was Miltia) was just standing there, I had Map Hack on and saw him just standing there, needed kills for a challenge so I got a quick 4 headshots on the guy and then he got booted, feel like it helped
us win the match though (was playing pilot hunter) so I get your frustration of having being on the same team as a guy AFKing, heck you WERE probably in the game where I was red dot chasing that dude and lost

 

Yeah , gets annoying playing Last Titan Standing and one of your team is AFK , I usually send them a message to either Play or GTFO.

....so, you send profanity laced messages rife with suggested ultimatums?.....*sigh* I miss players sending me those messages....well, I miss the fun I get to have at those messengers expenses anyway

 

I was playing against a group of guys on the first map of the campaign "refueling station" in LTS, and they used Stryders to jump a gap, and hid up on a hill so they couldn't get me, and I couldn't get them... Then another guy hid under the part where the
Big concrete pipes are opposite "B" base.

I thought it was quite inventive, but annoying as all hell.

 

Well I've only noticed it happening once and it was in a game of Last Titan Standing. Funny thing is we would have lost even if he/she was playing. It may be ruining the online experience for some, but that's what happens in public
games.

@PARALLAX , if you were playing the game you would get no fun at my expense , if however , you were away from your controller making a cup of tea , whilst still in the game lobby , then yeah , I'd send you a snotty message , if you can get any mileage out
of that , regards fun , then fill yer boots lol.

 

I AGREE....the idle at matchmaking is stupid to say the least. take too long going to the bathroom and your kicked out!!!

 

The afk bothers me less than the match-making inequalities. I am regen 8, and when I search for matches, I usually end up on teams with other like leveled Xbl people. That's great, but 7 of ten times the lobbies are all first gen opponents. While that's
great for my kd ratio, I feel like I'm swimming in The kiddy pool

 

Op play a lot as we can read. Take a chill pill.

 

This is ruining my experience also they need to kick these guys or start a vote system because this is getting old.Almost every game suffers from this.It has to stop!!!
