i was suspended on my Xbox account, and it was because i typed “who’s the ****” in a group chat i was added to. they were talking about one guy talking and manipulating 9 year olds and i wanted to know who did it so i could take proper action, but he didn’t like that and deleted the message i sent plus reported me for “pinning it on him” when there’s photo proof in the chat that this grown man is a pedophile. His gamer tag is [mod removed] and i’ve asked him before on his accusations and he disproved it, but then a couple months later it popped back up when i was added to the group chat. I can provide pictures and time stamped if it will allow me. all i said was “who is the ****” which is short for pedophile. and after i get the response and a screenshot of him visibly stating that he would do something with someone’s 9year old daughter that’s when i had enough and just simply typed “disgusting”. and he wants to report people who “pin it in him” which is a poor choice of words. i’m outraged that this is going on and there’s a grown man talking and manipulating children for his twisted agenda and desires. oh but i get the suspension for asking who was the pedophile in a group chat that i originally had no affiliation with. this is gross Xbox truly gross. now i can’t talk to my friends like i normally do everyday because one guy got too butt hurt about my question addressing a pedophile. No bad language, no bigotry, no derogatory terms, just a word that is used to describe someone who is attracted to prepubescent children which he clearly is. and if i knew him in real life i would let the law handle this sick man.

Unfortunately, most of Xbox enforcement is automated, so nobody is looking at the context of the conversation and making a decision. They use a list of "bad words", so if your post/message gets reported, it's scanned for the presence of those "bad words" and if 1 or more is found, a suspension is issued.

That can leads to horrible people not getting punished on the platform because they know how to skirt around the rules, by not using any words that are on the "bad words" list.

It sucks, I totally agree, but the golden rule is to never use rule-breaking language, no matter what the circumstances, cos it's only your own account that will be affected.

All you can do is block and report, using the appropriate reporting category, and hope that MS take action.

ok here is what you do Block (have your friends block to) mute, avoid, and report him under file a complaint also soy about the hacking and he can get in trouble with the cops (and the harassment like record and take pictures of the messages becasue he can
be charged as a cyber bully and sexual predator)
