(PC) Xbox Game Pass: Forza Horizon 5 Cannot sign in even though I'm already signed in

Hi,

Thank you for your response i still couldn't sign in so i've decided to uninstall the game for now but when i clicked on uninstall in Xbox App, my hard drive still uses the space as if the game was still installed, i tried to access the WindowsApps folder and managed to open access to the folder but after that i still couldn't delete the files because it says the files are still opened in the system?

Could you help me on this, i would really like to clear the game files from my hard drive, its very weird that it doesnt fully uninstall the game.

Disabling Kaspersky Internet Security solved this issue for me

As per your description, you are sign in already to your account however an error message prompted "Sign-In Needed: You may not proceed without being signed in to a profile." To isolate your issue, we will be asking for a question and kindly provide us details.

May we know if you are using same credentials all through out the Microsoft services and app on the PC (Xbox app, Xbox Console Companion, Microsoft Store and PC log in)?

Suggested Troubleshooting:

Since this is all about account issue. Fix could be related to signing in and out of Microsoft account to all Microsoft services and apps installed to the device. Windows device and Xbox app/Xbox Console Companion should be updated.

Before you proceed, kindly restart your device and turn off/disable antivirus, antimalware, VPN or PC Optimizer (if you have any).

Resetting cache of the saved credentials on PC -

Kindly sign out to Microsoft Store and Xbox app/Xbox Console Companion and launch the game.

Re log in to game and check if you are prompted with same error message.

Sign in back to Microsoft Store and Xbox app/Xbox Console Companion. Relaunch the game and check if same error message prompts.

If issue persists, please reset Microsoft Store. Sign in back to your Microsoft Account and launch the game if same issue.

If you are trying to download Forza Horizon 5 on the Xbox app, but it is asking you to purchase the game (even though your Game Pass Ultimate subscription is active), try to sign out of the Xbox app and then sign in again. To do that, follow these steps:

1. Open the Xbox app.

2. On the top bar, select your profile picture.

3. Select Sign Out.

4. Try to sign in to your account that has Game Pass again.

5. Check if you can download the game.
