    PC Xbox app is saying I don't have Internet connection while trying to install a game


    I'm trying to download a game from the PC Xbox app and it's giving me an error (error code 0x800704c6) saying to check my internet connection. My internet works just fine. I tried many things already. What's causing this and how do I fix it?

    Hi,

    Whenever you try to make an install while connected to the internet the entire download will be affected by your internet download speed.

    Why Can I not install game pass games from the Microsoft Store?

    I don't have a specific step to recommend, but, I have had game pass install issues and the usual process is.

    1. Update the Xbox app in the Microsoft Store (this always seems to solve most problems, especially when I reinstall windows or buy a new gaming PC)

    1. Don't forget to update windows as well. The Xbox app and the windows OS are tightly integrated. They simply won't work when they are not in sync.

    1. Try a different internet connection. Many times, my main internet has refused to download games on Xbox. On multiple occasions, I had to switch to my mobile internet to download games.

    If all else fails, reset the PC and start over.

    Well first you can't as the folder is encrypted

    Why are you ejecting the drive while it's on?

    Are you trying something you aren't supposed to like switching PC's to play on another ? It won't work

    The games have to be installed into the other pc

    While connected to the internet and xbox game services is part of windows you do know that right ?

    I can't use my xbox app and open the games from xbox app on my pc.

    The download and the synchronization upon launching the games could be due to an internet fluctuation during the installation or download that caused the file to be corrupted.

    Kindly try to connect your Windows PC device to a wired internet connection.

    Then try to launch or download the games from Xbox app to see if it works.

    Two brand new games, neither will install from disc.

    I don't see why xbox live would have anything to do with it I'm trying to install off of the disc. do I need an internet connection to install off of the disc? if so why now? I have never needed it before I install all my games using the disc while my xbox
    is offline
