    PC Xbox App and Microsoft Store Will Not Update/ Allow Me To Download Games


    For the past year the Xbox App and Microsoft Store for Windows 10 PC have not been working properly or updating apps properly. I simply want to play Sea of Thieves (which I bought on the Microsoft Store before it was ever on Steam). These are the following things I have tried (With error codes/screenshots attached) to no avail.

    - Resetting & Repairing the Microsoft Store and PC Xbox App in Window's Settings

    -Updating Graphics drivers and Windows.

    -Windows Gaming Service Repair Tool (see first image for error)

    -Uninstalling and reinstalling the Xbox App

    -SFC Scan

    -Uninstalling and Reinstalling Sea of Thieves (the one game I'm trying to play that I own on Xbox/Microsoft Store).

    Nothing has worked so far. I only want to play Sea of Thieves, but I purchased the game before it ever existed on Steam. I don't even use the Microsoft Store or Xbox app for anything else, but due to the strange purchase policy surrounding the game on Microsoft Store, I am not entitled to a copy on Steam (despite buying it and not being able to access the product I own because the platform I got it on is broken).

    The Microsoft Store also crashes when attempting to reinstall Sea of Thieves.

    Installed RAM: 32.0 GB

    System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

    GPU: Nvidia RTX 2070 8GB VRAM

    Hello. For these kind of games on PC, just update them from your download history in the Microsoft Store app. I remember that happening with me for Microsoft Ultimate Word Game and had to update it to fix it.

    This is the ONLY thing that has worked for me. THANK YOU. I have no options to update "game services" my pc is fully updated on windows 10, xbox app is fully updated. But yea downloading from the microsoft store worked.

    Please try to follow these steps. Make sure to close any games and applications before proceeding.

    Ensure that you are on the most recent version of the Xbox app and the Game

    Microsoft Store app > Downloads > Get updates/Update all

    Ensure that you have updated your PC to the most recent version of Windows, including optional updates

    PC Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates > Install

    Open the Xbox app on PC > (the game) >Manage > Files > Verify and Repair

    Sign Out of Your Accounts (Xbox App and Microsoft Store App):

    Open the Microsoft Store by pressing Windows Key + S, typing Microsoft Store, and selecting App Settings.

    Click on Repair and then Reset the app.

    Repeat the same process for the Xbox App and the Minecraft Game/Launcher

    Restart Your Device:

    After repairing and resetting both apps, restart your device.

    Sign back into both the Xbox App and the Microsoft Store using the same email.

    Latest mandatory update for flight simulator 2020 not showing up or downloading in microsoft store.

    Download xbox app on your pc from the microsoft store then on microsoft store click 3 dots "downloads and updates" and you should be able to do so.

    Make sure simulator app is not running
