    I am wondering if you can transfer save data from a game installed via the PC Xbox app to an installation from a different storefront. For example, could I transfer save data from Astroneer from the Xbox installation to a Steam installation? Im sure it varies depending on each game but there seems to be some standardisation in the files of the games i've downloaded from Xbox.

    Yes I Know, that's the answer to that situation, there are some unofficial ways to do it but that's not recommended by Xbox and we can't share those

    to clarify, i wasnt asking about Xbox console saves to PC, i was asking about pc xbox app saves to steam.

    Hi JeffMartin,

    I'd had the same issue.
    The problem at me was how I'd, or more from where I'd, installed the game.

    Did install the game from the Microsoft App store.

    After I played the game on XBOX one and wanted to continue on PC there was no saved games.

    Couldn't find a proper solution so I'd deinstalled the game on PC and installed it from

    the XBOX app.

    Now the save game is available.
