PC Gamepass unable to connect to any of my friends games when they are on Xbox Consoles

We understand that you're having trouble connecting to your friends' games on Xbox consoles while using PC Game Pass. Let's see if we can get this resolved for you.

Before we proceed, just want to confirm if you are able to join multiplayer in the past or this is just first time you tried this?



In the meantime, let's make sure that you and your friends have the latest updates for the games you're trying to play. You can check for updates by:

• Going to the Microsoft Store app on your PC and clicking on the three dots in the upper right-hand corner.
  
• From there, select "Downloads and updates".
  
• Then click "Get updates" to make sure you have the latest version of the game.
  

Next, let's check your network settings. Make sure that your PC and your friends' Xbox consoles are connected to the same network. You can also try resetting your network by:

• Going to Settings > Network & Internet > Network reset. This will reset your network settings to their default values, so make sure you have any necessary login information for your network before doing this.
  

If the above steps don't work, you can try disabling any firewalls or antivirus software that may be blocking the connection. You can also try forwarding the necessary ports for the game you're trying to play. You can find a list of the necessary ports for Xbox Live on Microsoft's support website.

Then, check your account settings: Make sure that your Xbox account settings allow you to join multiplayer games.

Today, i set up game share with a friend. I logged out of his account and logged back into mine so i could install a game. When i tried to install any game it said that had to connect to xbox live. How do i fix this? Internet was connected and i
already have xbox gamepass on my account.

You dont you MUST INSTALL from his profile

Any non gamepass games

For gamepass games why are you using his gamepass when you are using yours

Game share doesnt allow you to have a free license

Only the profile that owns the games can download it

Only gamepass or games with gold games be shared via the gold share

But any regularly purchased games must be installed from the purchasing profile

Any profile on home console can use the games but not install them

Thanks for letting me know! I don't buy any digital games on the Xbox, only Gamepass so I cant tell

Maybe your friend changed his "Home Xbox" to another console and thus both of you are unable to play games from him?

You can access Gamepass list of games from your console and account?
